Matt è il founder developer di WordPress,il software per la gestione dei blog, che fa funzionare milioni di blog nel mondo. WordPress è “a state-of-the-art semantic personal publishing platform†ma cosa più importante è parte di ciò che Matt è. Esattamente come non può fare a meno di mangiare,respirare, della musica allao stesso modo non può fare a meno di lavorare su WordPress.Il progetto accomuna diverse persona, cosa che recentemente ha cominciato ad apprezzare. Si considera molto fortunato di poter lavorare su qualcosa che ama così tanto.
Ha anche scritto la prefazione di “WordPress for Dummies”.
Lavoro
Scuola e prime consulenze in Houston – Texas, poi si è trasferito a San Francisco dove ha lavorato presso CNET Networks.
Verso la fine del 2005 si è licenziato per fondare la Automattic che è la società che gestisce wordpress.com,Akismet,Gravatar,BBpress,IntenseDebate,BuddyPress ed altri ancora che verranno.
E’ stato ed è Advisor di Sphere,WeGame,RescueTime e Foodzie.
